Material Requirements
Scoop is produced by sheet-fed offset printing at a screen
ruling of 175lpi.
Finished artwork can be supplied on disk but preferably via email to artwork@scoop.com.au. We accept Quark Xpress files up to version 6, eps files, tiff files and press optimised PDF files. Auto hyphenation to be turned off in Quark documents. All scans/colours are to be CMYK, 300dpi. The preferred delivery method of artwork is via a highresolution PDF emailed to artwork@scoop.com.au with a colour-calibrated proof so we are accurately able to match your colouring.
Very small type, fine lines and small design elements must be reproduced in one colour only to avoid the hazards of registration. Reverse type should be a minimum of 10pt and should be reproduced in a minimum of colours. Small type with serifs will not reproduce satisfactorily. As Scoop is printed on a satin stock, reproduction may appear differently to proofs supplied on gloss stock.
Artwork Services
A nominal fee of between $150 and $250 is charged for
advertising artwork. This fee provides for basic layout and
design with the following restrictions: no photography or
supply of materials, no external visits, inhouse consultation
only and a maximum of three drafts. Please discuss with
your Account or Artwork Manager. Scoop is also able to
recommend designers if requested.
Disclaimer
Scoop accepts no responsibility for artwork supplied
contrary to specifications. While every endeavour will be
made slight colour/stock variations may occur between
issues/magazines. Advertising elements placed outside the
type area may be cut off due to slight variations in trimming.
Please be aware that artwork supplied without a calibrated
colour proof cannot be matched accurately due to the
various production processes. Other forms of proofs can be
supplied as a guide but are not able to be matched accurately
for colour. Please discuss this with your designer/agency.
